How to change the format for RAW files (16-bit TIFF to 12-bit DNG)

There may be a need for you to change the format for RAW files saved on your storage device during a mission.

The camera can save 16-bit TIFF files (default) or 12-bit DNG. The 12-bit DNG file would reduce the data saved by 25%, thereby increasing capture rate accordingly. Keep in mind that this file format is still lossless, but the 16-bit TIFF files add extra padding.

To do this, you will need to connect to the camera's web UI. To learn more about establishing a connection to the camera, see the appropriate section in our User Guide.

Once you access the web UI, click on Settings > Advanced Configuration > Format for Raw files and select the file type you prefer. Click Save at the bottom to apply the changes. Image below is for reference.
